Los Angeles Construction and Development Recap
August 29th, 2017 / Downtown Los Angeles

Although Downtown Los Angeles is teeming with cranes, the market’s ultimate fate depends on whether the majority of these high-rise developments become condo or rental units. Polaris Pacific’s Rhonda Slavik joined various Downtown LA industry representatives on stage at Bisnow’s LA Construction and Development event in August to discuss the evolution of the emerging Downtown LA neighborhood and why the now livable destination deserves to be a buyer’s market. Ms. Slavik credits Downtown Center Business Improvement District CEO Carol Schatz and Central City Association CEO Jessica Lall for igniting the transformation of Downtown LA, which has spurred new residential developments such as TEN50, Oceanwide Plaza and Metropolis. When looking to the future, she notes that demand is very strong and the market is still underserved.
