Downtown Los Angeles Renaissance Conference Recap
June 6th, 2016 / Downtown Los Angeles

The Bisnow Downtown Los Angeles Renaissance Conference is where industry leaders gather to discuss what’s going on in one of the nation’s most diverse markets. Paul Zeger recently spoke on the “Everything you Need to Know about Multifamily & Mixed-Use Developments” panel and here are some of his views.

Downtown Los Angeles is enjoying the renaissance that’s been in the works for the past 16 years. The adaptive reuse ordinance made it easier for developers to convert old office buildings to housing. It’s cause and effect. When jobs are created, the need for housing surely follows. 150,000 new jobs in last twenty years have lead to 10,000 units being developed. Downtown has benefited recently from the opening of the Expo Line to the beach, bringing an influx of those working in creative tech environments to downtown living.
