As the newfangled East Cut neighborhood takes shape—now at a slower pace following the September closure of the Tranbay Transity Center and Salesforce Park—area high-rises are showcasing their toniest pads for moneybag buyers who want to eschew such classic luxury ’hoods as Pacific Heights or Sea Cliff.
The most recent lavish pad up for grabs is penthouse 41A at Lumina, which asks $11,495,000.
As Curbed SF previously pointed out, high-rises with multiple penthouses are now a thing in the city. Take, for example, the Harrison in Rincon Hill, which claims an unfathomable 17 penthouses—an impossible feat since a penthouse is literally the dwelling on top of a building. But realtor language is as fluid as it is fantastical, so here we are.
Lumina, which consists of two towers, only has half a dozen penthouses. And 41A, one of the largest among the team, measures 5,500 square feet, comes with two floors, and is being sold as a “custom shell,” meaning that it can be configured however the buyer prefers.
Other highlights include 18-foot ceilings, three terraces, designated rooftop deck, and direct-to-residence elevator.
