The Future of South Park Event Recap
March 1st, 2017 / Downtown Los Angeles
According to a panel of experts at the Bisnow Future of South Park event on March 1, downtown Los Angeles has plenty of room to run as we look beyond 2017. A new wave of retail and dining destinations along with a heavily concentrated number of jobs in downtown, have created a huge draw for those eyeing the area. Speaker Rhonda Slavik of Polaris Pacific weighed in saying that there is a lot more growth expected over the long term and that downtown LA “is still in its toddler stage.”
Experts say that dwellers are attracted to downtown LA’s South Park neighborhood for its vibrant, friendly atmosphere and its close proximity to the best L.A. has to offer in art, culture, entertainment and retail. Slavik believes that South Park will eventually become its own real center as development crosses the major 10 and 110 freeways. “This is going to become an epicenter for all of those areas in terms of retail, entertainment, restaurants and dining and really anchor this end of downtown in a much bigger way,” Slavik adds.
